This hexagonal pellet smoker tube is designed for cold or hot smoking in a barbecue or smoker. Fill it with suitable wood pellets or wood chips, light it, and place it in the cooking chamber to add smoke while you cook. It is available in 6 inch and 12 inch sizes, giving you a choice of a more compact tube or a longer version for a larger fill.

Made from 304 stainless steel in a silver finish, the perforated tube allows air to enter around the fuel. Its hexagonal shape helps keep it stable rather than easily rolling across the cooking surface. The open end is used for filling and lighting, while the capped end helps keep the pellets inside.

Which size should you choose?

• 6 inch: approximately 15.4 cm long and 5.8 cm wide, or 2.28 inches.
• 12 inch: approximately 31 cm long and 5.8 cm wide, or 2.28 inches.

Both options are shown as one smoker tube. Compare the length and available space inside your grill or smoker before choosing. The images show the tube being used in covered grill and smoker designs, but it is important to check the dimensions against your own setup rather than assuming a universal fit.

How to use it

1. Fill the tube with wood pellets or wood chips. The pictured examples include cherry, pecan, mesquite and apple wood, as well as other wood pellets.
2. Light the fuel at the open end using a propane torch.
3. Allow the pellets to burn well for around 9 minutes.
4. Lay the smoker tube in your grill or smoker and close the cooking chamber as appropriate for your appliance.

The tube can be used for both cold smoking and hot smoking. It is also suitable for cooking, baking and barbecue use. The smoking duration can be up to 5 hours, depending on the selected tube and the way it is used.

Practical care and handling

As the tube is used with burning wood fuel, allow it to cool completely before handling or emptying it. Remove any remaining ash and wood residue after use, then keep the tube clean and dry between smoking sessions. Always position it securely and follow the operating and safety instructions for your grill or smoker.
