Adjustable propane regulator for high-pressure appliances

Set the gas pressure to suit a range of high-pressure propane applications with this adjustable regulator valve kit. It provides an outlet pressure range from 0 to 20 psi and is designed for connection to high-pressure appliances such as smokers, turkey fryers, heaters, stoves, fireplaces and generators.

The regulator has a POL connector for connection to a compatible LP gas cylinder or tank. Its red adjustment control is marked from 0 to 20 PSIG, allowing the outlet pressure to be adjusted within the stated range. As this is a gas connection component, check the appliance requirements and all thread and hose measurements carefully before fitting.

Four brass connection options

The kit includes four different hose and threaded adapter types to help connect the regulator to compatible LP gas equipment. The connection options are a 5/16-inch hose barb, a 1/4-inch hose barb, a 1/4-inch NPT male adapter and a 3/8-inch flare male adapter. The threaded connections are made from 100% solid brass.

Use the adapter that matches your existing hose or appliance connection. These fittings are intended for use with compatible LP gas systems, but the kit should not be treated as a universal fit. Compare the connection type, thread size and hose diameter with your equipment before purchase and installation.

Pressure and flow information

The stated inlet pressure range is 25 to 250 psi. Outlet pressure is adjustable from 0 to 20 psi, while the maximum stated flow is 142,800 BTU/hr. These figures are provided to help you check whether the regulator is suitable for the pressure and flow requirements of your particular appliance.

Size for installation planning

The regulator measures approximately 4.35 inches long by 2.54 inches across, equivalent to 11.05 cm by 6.46 cm. The supplied adapters are approximately 1.17 inches and 0.98 inches long for the larger threaded fittings, with the hose-barb fittings measuring approximately 1.2 inches each. Their illustrated barb diameters are approximately 0.34 inches and 0.28 inches. Allow enough room around the regulator and control knob when planning the installation.

Important fitting checks

Before use, confirm that the POL connector, selected adapter and appliance connection are correct for your setup. Make sure all connections are properly made and follow the instructions for the appliance and gas system. Do not use a fitting simply because it appears similar, and do not exceed the stated pressure range or the requirements of the connected equipment.
