Choose the correct voltage and load range

Six options are available. First choose the electrical voltage required by your installation, then select the load range that matches your intended rotating assembly and food load:

• 140-160kg, 110V

Voltage is an important selection point. Check the voltage available at the intended installation before ordering, and do not assume that a 110V and 220V version are interchangeable. The load figures describe the available motor options, so select a range appropriate to the complete rotating arrangement and not just the food alone.

Check your barbecue arrangement before fitting

The images show a metal motor housing, power lead and projecting drive shaft. However, the motor should only be used with a barbecue, spit or roasting arrangement that accepts its connection and can safely support the selected load. Compare the shaft, mounting position, fixing points and available space with your equipment before purchase. Compatibility is not universal, and the motor does not replace the supporting brackets, spit, forks or other roasting hardware unless those items are separately provided with your chosen option.

Practical care and electrical precautions

Keep the motor housing, lead and connection area protected from direct contact with water, grease build-up and excessive heat. Allow the unit to cool before handling or cleaning, and keep the electrical parts away from the cooking surface and flames. Use the voltage shown for the selected version and inspect the lead and plug before use. Store the motor in a dry place when it is not required.
