Choose the correct size for your griddle

This BBQ wind screen is intended to surround the sides of a compatible flat-top griddle, helping create a more sheltered cooking area when conditions are breezy. It is offered in four nominal size options, so choose the option that corresponds with your griddle setup rather than selecting by appearance alone.

Panel layout and dimensions

The 17-inch version is shown with two longer panels measuring approximately 35cm by 7.3cm, two shorter panels measuring approximately 15.5cm by 9.5cm, and four mounting brackets measuring approximately 5cm by 4.1cm.

The 22-inch version is shown with two longer panels measuring approximately 35.3cm by 7.4cm and two shorter panels measuring approximately 21.5cm by 10cm. The larger options use longer panels to suit their wider griddle layouts. The 28-inch version is shown with panels measuring approximately 41.5cm by 7.4cm and 30.5cm by 10cm, while the 36-inch version is shown with panels measuring approximately 49cm by 7.4cm and 39cm by 12cm.

These panel sections are arranged around the griddle to form a wind screen. The ventilation openings are incorporated into the panels, while the cut-out handles make the sections easier to handle during fitting or removal. Fixing holes are positioned along the panels and brackets for assembly.

Practical features for outdoor griddling

A wind screen can be useful when cooking outdoors in exposed conditions, particularly when moving air makes it harder to maintain a consistent cooking environment. The panels help reduce direct wind around the griddle while leaving the cooking surface accessible. The layout shown also allows access around the sides and rear of the appliance, including around the rear grease cup on the compatible griddle setup pictured.

The black panels have a non-stick coating. This is a product feature of the screen finish, but the wind screen is not dishwasher safe. Clean it by hand using a suitable soft cloth or sponge and allow it to dry thoroughly before storing. Avoid treating the panels as dishwasher-safe components.

Before fitting

• Confirm whether your griddle is the 17-inch, 22-inch, 28-inch or 36-inch size option.
• Compare the panel measurements and mounting-hole positions with your particular griddle.
• Check that the assembled screen will not interfere with controls, grease collection or any other part of your setup.
• Fit and remove the panels only when the griddle is switched off and sufficiently cool to handle.
