Refresh a worn smoker or barbecue seal

This Aihogard sealing tape is intended for use around barbecue and smoker doors or lids where an existing seal has become worn or needs replacing. Its fire-resistant fibre construction makes it suited to barbecue, cooking and baking-related sealing applications, providing a practical way to maintain the sealing surface around compatible equipment.

The tape is supplied as a continuous roll measuring approximately 2cm wide and 3.6m long. At approximately 2mm thick, it can be cut to suit the length of the sealing area. Before ordering, measure the existing seal channel or contact surface on your smoker or barbecue and check that the tape's width and thickness are suitable for your particular design.

Self-adhesive fitting

The tape has a self-adhesive backing, so it can be applied directly to a suitable, prepared surface. For a neat result, plan the route around the door or lid before fitting and cut the tape to the required length. The backing is shown being removed as the strip is positioned, allowing the sealing material to be fixed in place without needing a separate adhesive.
