The thermometer covers a broad range from -50°C to 300°C, equivalent to -58°F to 572°F. Probe thermometer with clear digital controls

The probe is made from 304 stainless steel and works with a 100K sensor using thermistor temperature conversion for the digital display. The stated resolution is 0.1, allowing the display to show fine temperature changes. A hold function lets you lock a displayed reading before moving the thermometer away from the cooking area, which is useful when the screen is not immediately easy to view.

The display can be switched between Celsius and Fahrenheit. The thermometer also features a backlit LCD display, helping the reading stand out when you are cooking in lower-light conditions. Use the on/off control to take a reading, then fold the probe back into the base when finished.

Folds away neatly between cooking sessions

With the probe folded into the body, the thermometer is easier to carry and store than a permanently extended probe. The folding design rotates through 180 degrees and locks the probe into the base when closed. A built-in magnet allows it to attach to a suitable magnetic surface, while the hanging hook provides another storage option in a kitchen or outdoor cooking area.

The automatic shut-off operates after 10 minutes of standby. This helps limit unnecessary battery use if the thermometer is left switched on. The unit requires one AAA battery, and the battery is not included, so a suitable battery will need to be available before first use.
