Electric charcoal lighter for BBQ fire preparation
Get charcoal, logs and other fire-starting tasks underway with this electric charcoal lighter. It combines a 2,000W rated power output with a maximum temperature of 600°C and an air volume of 500 l/min, providing a concentrated blast of hot air for barbecue and general fire preparation.
Unlike a gas lighter, this tool operates from mains electricity and does not require gas or another fuel. The long main machine length of 46cm helps keep the handle away from the immediate heat source while you direct the perforated metal nozzle towards the charcoal or kindling.
Who it suits
This electric BBQ fire starter is suited to outdoor cooks who use charcoal barbecues, smokers or open fires and want an electrically powered alternative to conventional firelighters. The supplied images also show it being used for fire starting, charcoal starting, de-icing pavements and weeding. Use it only for tasks appropriate to your own setup and handle the heated end with care.

Choose the correct plug option
Select the plug and voltage option that matches the electrical supply where you intend to use the lighter. The available choices are 110V-US Plug, 230V-UK Plug and 230V-EU Plug. The listed electrical specification is 230V~50Hz, so check the option and your local supply carefully before use. Do not assume that a plug style alone makes the tool suitable for every electrical installation.
Design and dimensions
The heat-resistant design uses an aluminium alloy metal body with a perforated safety casing around the hot-air outlet. The tube line measures 26cm and the tube thickness is 1mm. A 1.9m power cord provides the connection to the mains supply, while the handle has a curved shape illustrated for a more comfortable grip. The built-in stand or hanging buckle offers a practical way to rest or store the tool when it is not in use.
The combustion nozzle and switch button are identified in the product design imagery. The red switch is shown as a push-down, push-up control for opening and closing operation.
Using and caring for the lighter
Position the electric charcoal lighter so the heated nozzle is directed at the charcoal or fire-starting material, then use the switch to operate it. Keep the hot end clear of hands and surrounding combustible materials. Once the fire is established, switch the tool off, unplug it and allow the heat-resistant body and nozzle to cool fully before putting it away.
Keep the electrical connection and power cord away from hot coals, flames and moisture. Before storage, check that the tool is completely cool and place the cord where it will not be damaged or kinked. The long 46cm body and integrated holder make it easier to handle and put aside between uses, but the product should still be stored safely away from children and flammable materials.
