Direct hot air for lighting charcoal

This electric charcoal lighter is designed to direct a concentrated stream of heated air onto charcoal and other suitable solid fuel. It provides a practical alternative to lighting barbecue charcoal with conventional firelighters, making it useful when preparing a grill, smoker or outdoor fire. The perforated aluminium alloy tube directs the airflow towards the fuel while the handle keeps the control area away from the hottest end.

The lighter reaches a maximum temperature of 600°C and delivers an air volume of 500 l/min. This combination of high heat and airflow is intended for ignition work rather than general-purpose heating. The 26cm tube gives the tool a useful working reach, while its 1mm thickness forms the stated tube construction.

Made for outdoor cooking and fire lighting

Use the electric fire ignition device when preparing charcoal for a barbecue or smoker, or when starting a wood stove, fireplace, campfire or fire pit. The integrated holder and stand provide a place to rest the tool when it is not being held, helping keep the hot tube supported between uses. A single-button control provides straightforward on/off operation.

The handle is made from Bakelite and the tube from aluminium alloy. The product is listed as heat resistant, with a 2 metre power cord for connection to a suitable power supply. As with any high-temperature electrical tool, allow the heated end to cool fully before handling or storing it, and keep the working area clear of combustible materials other than the fuel being lit.

Choose the correct plug and voltage

Select the option that matches both your local socket and electrical supply. The 230V versions are specified at 50Hz with a rated power of 2000W, while the 110V version is specified at 60Hz with a rated power of 1500W. Available plug options are 230V-EU Plug, 110V-US Plug, 230V-UK Plug and 230V-IL Plug.

For UK use, choose the 230V-UK Plug option. Check the selected voltage, frequency and plug type against your intended electrical setup before use. This is model BQA1637A and is listed with CE and ETL certifications.
