The face plate measures 150 x 96 x 1mm, equivalent to approximately 5.9 x 3.78 inches. Its threaded fixing hole is 6mm, which should be matched to the mounting arrangement on your appliance.

Connection and rating guide

The inlet and outlet are specified as 3/8-inch male flare threads for the fire pit gas control valve in and out connections. Check whether your existing pipework and valve arrangement use the same connection type. A matching thread diameter alone does not confirm compatibility, so compare the full connection arrangement before installation.

The maximum stated rating is 50,000 BTU. The detailed rating states a working pressure of 1/2 PSI, or 65mbar. A separate specification line states 65 bar, which is substantially different. Because pressure requirements are safety-critical, confirm the correct working pressure for your appliance and gas supply with a qualified installer before use rather than relying on an assumed value.

Choosing and fitting the correct option

• Confirm that the appliance uses a gas fuel type other than natural gas.
• Measure the available control-panel space and compare it with 150 x 96 x 1mm.
• Check that the mounting arrangement accepts a 6mm threaded fixing hole.
• Confirm that the valve connections require 3/8-inch male flare threads at the inlet and outlet.
• Allow for the 600mm thermocouple length when planning the position of the control panel and burner components.
• Check the appliance's required BTU rating and working pressure before fitting.

Installation and care

Fit the panel and connected components only as part of a compatible appliance installation. Keep the leads and sensing components routed as required by the appliance design, away from locations where they could be damaged. Follow the appliance manufacturer's installation instructions and have the completed gas system inspected for secure connections and correct operation.

Protect the stainless steel face plate, valve and associated components from impact, moisture and contamination during storage. Clean the accessible panel with a soft, suitable cloth and ensure the controls and connections are dry before the appliance is used. Do not modify the valve, threads, thermocouple or ignition components.
