Use the brush to work across suitable metal surfaces where rust, dirt or built-up residue needs to be loosened. It can be useful as part of routine barbecue maintenance, as well as for workshop, household and industrial cleaning tasks. The compact handheld format allows the brush to be used without a powered tool.

The brush head is curved and measures 130mm in length by 32mm in width. The 235mm overall length gives you a defined handle and brush area for controlled manual work.

Choose the right tool for the job

This is a wire brush for surface preparation and cleaning rather than a replacement barbecue grate or cooking accessory. Before use, check that the surface is suitable for wire brushing and test a small, less visible area first, particularly on finished, coated or easily marked materials. The metal bristles may scratch delicate surfaces.

For barbecue use, remove loose food debris separately and make sure any brushed surface is suitable for this type of tool. Do not use the brush on a surface where loose bristles could create a contamination risk, and inspect the brushed area before cooking.

Storage and handling

Hold the shaped handle securely and use controlled strokes rather than excessive force. Wear suitable hand and eye protection when removing rust, dirt or other debris. After use, clear away loosened material and store the brush safely using the open tail of the handle for hanging storage where appropriate.
