Choose the right size

The smaller option is listed as 14.9in and is illustrated with approximate external dimensions of 14.9in wide, 21in high and 6.6in deep. The 21in option is illustrated with approximate external dimensions of 10.2in wide, 15in high and 5.1in deep. Compare these measurements with the size of your roast and allow enough room to place the meat inside without forcing it.

For larger barbecue joints such as brisket or pork shoulder, check the longest and widest points of the cooked meat before choosing. The bag is an accessory cover for thermal insulation, rather than a replacement for the cooking equipment used to prepare the meat.

Using the meat resting bag

Once the meat has finished cooking, place it into the bag through the wide opening and position the bag on a suitable stable surface. The insulated construction is intended to help retain heat during the resting stage, giving you more flexibility between finishing the cook and serving. It is suited to barbecue cooks who need to rest roasts before slicing or plating.

Take care when transferring freshly cooked food, as both the meat and its juices may be hot. Check that the selected size is suitable before use and do not place the bag directly on a hot cooking surface unless your own setup instructions specifically permit it.

Cleaning and care

Clean the surface by wiping it lightly with a damp cloth. Food residues on the inner surface can be wiped away when wet. This item is not dishwasher safe, so do not put it in a dishwasher. It has no non-stick coating.

Allow the bag to dry fully after cleaning before storing it. Keep it away from direct flames and do not use it as a cooking vessel. Its stated use is thermal insulation during the resting stage.
