This FD801A-8 electric BBQ motor is designed for rotisserie cooking where a steady motor drive is required to turn a compatible spit. The stainless steel housing contains the motor and presents the square output shaft opening at the front, allowing you to compare the connection with the shaft or spit assembly on your barbecue before purchase.

Check the fit before installation

Rotisserie motor fittings are not universal. Before ordering, compare the motor's mounting arrangement, square shaft connection and available space with your barbecue or rotisserie setup. The housing is approximately 110mm wide, 91mm high and 65mm deep, while the attached cable measures 1.5m. These measurements should be checked against the available mounting area and the position of your power socket.

Electrical specification

This is a 220-240V AC motor for 50/60Hz operation. The stated rated power is 4W or less, with rated current of 22mA or less. It has a 12-pole motor, Class A insulation and an insulation resistance of more than 100M. The specified insulation withstand test is AC1800V/S for the motor with a 2mA leakage-current test and no leakage current.

The starting voltage is specified as starting at 0.85 times the rated voltage. The output shaft clearance is listed as less than 0.03m/m. For the stated service condition, the motor is specified for continuous operation of more than 1800 hours with a load of 3kg. cm. These are technical specifications rather than a guarantee of suitability for every barbecue, so check the requirements of your appliance and rotisserie assembly.

Plug and installation notes

The plug specification is EU plug. The source specification states that a corresponding adapter plug is sent according to the destination country. Check the plug and electrical connection supplied for your installation before use. Electrical installation and connection should be carried out safely by someone competent to do so, with the motor kept clear of direct flames, hot coals and any area where it could be exposed to water.

Use this replacement or auxiliary rotisserie motor only when the mounting points, shaft connection, voltage and intended load match your equipment. The motor is manufactured in Mainland China.
